Previously, between 1999 and 2011, Sand Spring also published periodic subscription-based technical and economic market commentary to the public. But today, the firm only consults privately to selected clients.
The firm was founded in 1999 by Barclay T. Leib, an individual now with over thirty-five years of Wall Street-related experience. Mr. Leib spent the majority of his early career at J.P. Morgan and J. Aron Goldman Sachs where he specialized in commodity and foreign exchange derivatives.
In recent years, Mr. Leib has written a variety of financial articles that have appeared in Institutional Investor's Alpha magazine, Plan Sponsor magazine, Derivatives Strategy magazine, Bloomberg, Financial Executive magazine, and the Princeton Economic Institute's World Capital Market Review.
