As subscribers will have previously read, Delta & Pine Land (DLP) -- the largest producer and distributor of cotton seeds in the U.S. -- is one of our favored stocks at Sandspring.com. To date, since first recommendation earlier this year, it has resisted the summer downdraft in the larger equity market quite well. It hasn't been exactly exciting, but it has been steady.

Delta &Pine Land last reported earnings in late June -- and the report was quite favorable. DLP should be reporting once again in the next few days.

Meanwhile, on a purely technical basis, DLP had a large outside-day up back on July 24th, and left another outside day-up formation yesterday. We like this type of price action, and would look for 19.90 and then 21.77 on DLP sometime soon.
